Sieg Wall retired as pastor of Jubilee Mennonite Church (a joint Mennonite and Mennonite Brethren congregation) in Winnipeg on Sept. 30, after serving for six years. Previously, he pastored Restigouche Valley MB Church in Campbellton, N.B. for 10 years and The Church at Pine Ridge near Winnipeg for eight years. He taught chemistry at the University of Winnipeg for 21 years and taught at Rosenort (Man.) High School for three years. He has a certificate of education and a masters degree and Ph.D. in chemistry, all from the University of Manitoba. He and his wife Teenie have four grown daughters and three grandchildren.
Tim Schroeder completed his ministry as associate pastor of youth at Northwest Community Church in Meadow Lake, Sask. on Dec. 31, after serving for four years. Previously, he worked for Door of Hope, a youth drop-in centre in Meadow Lake for four years, did renovations for a year, worked for a trenching service for three years and worked for a John Deere dealer. He and his wife Judy served one year at Albert Schweitzer Hospital in Haiti, doing maintenance and teaching staff children. Tim studied at Cornforth Capernwray School in England for half a year. He is a journeyman diesel mechanic. Judy has a diploma from Bethany Bible Institute in Hepburn, Sask. They have two children, Anna, 8, and Daniel, 6. The Schroeders are seeking the Lords will for the future.
Kaysie Wall completed her ministry as part-time director of childrens ministry at Forest Grove Community Church in Saskatoon on Dec. 31, after serving for three-and-a-half years. Previously, she worked for Fellowship Bookstore in Saskatoon for three years and did substitute teaching. She has a B.Ed from the University of Saskatchewan. She and her husband Ron have four children: Jessica, who is married to Paul Morgan; Matthew, in second-year Bible school; Karsten, in grade 12; and Amy, in grade 10.
David and Marles Tooke began serving as associate pastor couple of youth and young adults at Waldheim (Sask.) MB Church on Aug. 6. Previously, he was a retail manager for a clothing store in Saskatoon for five years. He is studying at Canadian Bible College in Regina. The Tookes have three children, Nathaniel, 3, Arianna, 2, and Kelsi, 15 months, and are expecting their fourth child in January.
Derian Julihn is serving a part-time pastoral internship at Richmond (B.C.) Bethel MB Church through the B.C. MB Conference Pastoral Apprenticeship program. He is being mentored by associate pastor Eldon Fehr. This is Julihns home church; his parents, Brad and Carol Julihn, are senior pastor couple. Derian is completing his final semester at Columbia Bible College in Abbotsford, B.C.
Henry and Helen Dueck are serving as interim pastor couple at Herbert (Sask.) MB Church from September 2001 to June 2002 while pastor Ed Schmidt is on sick leave. The Duecks are retired missionaries with MBMS International, having served in South America for 40 years. Henry has a B.R.E. from MB Bible College in Winnipeg, an M.Div. from Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary in Elkhart, Ind. and an M.Th. from Princeton Theological Seminary. The Duecks have five grown children and 12 grandchildren.
Steve Harms began serving as half-time youth pastor at Living Hope Church in Saskatoon on Jan. 1. He also works for B.P. Bannister, making handrails and staircases. Previously, he was involved as a youth volunteer for five years. He has a B.A. from Columbia Bible College in Abbotsford, B.C. He is married to Lisa, who also attended Columbia and is currently a university student.

Living Hope Church in Saskatoon baptized and welcomed nine people into its fellowship between June 17 and Sept. 30, 2001: Brett Loewen, Derk Clothier, Justin Robinson, Whitney Palmer, Maghen Wiebe, Mark Sawatzky, Jodi Robinson, Christopher Krahn and Matt Ingrouille.
