Previous | Next Winnipeg, Man. New stewardship ministries rep appointed

Peter Reimer of Valemount, B.C., has been appointed Stewardship Ministries representative of the Canadian MB Conference for Saskatchewan, Alberta and northern British Columbia, effective September 15, 2001. He will work in this position half-time until May 31, 2002, and then will work on a full-time basis.

Reimer currently practices as a notary public. He and his wife Pat plan to relocate to the Calgary area next July.

Reimer grew up in Winnipeg, where he and his family attended Portage Avenue Mennonite Brethren Church. He was baptized at age 14. He studied at Winnipeg Bible (now Providence) College, Otterburne, Man., and has a B.Th. from Northwest Baptist Theological College, Vancouver.

Reimer has been an active leader in Baptist and Alliance churches in Vancouver, Vernon, B.C., Airdrie, Alta., and Valemount.

We welcome Peter to the ministry, states Alf Huebert, director of Stewardship Ministries for the Canadian MB Conference, We look forward to working with him. He brings to the position a love for the Lord and people, and a desire to help others be more effective in living their Christian faith, particularly in regard to resources. He also has much practical knowledge and skill in financial and estate matters.

For the time being, Reimer will be working out of an office in Valemount. Much of his time will be spent travelling to the churches.
