Previous | Next Hepburn, Sask. New faculty members appointed at Bethany Bible Institute

Bethany Bible Institute in Hepburn, Sask. has appointed two new faculty members.

Trever Godard has been appointed Missions Director/Instructor. He and his wife Joan served with MBMS International in Cali and Bogotá, Colombia for 14 years. They founded and developed a full-time discipleship and training program called MIJUCO (Youth Mission Colombia). Trever has taught at the Mennonite Brethren Lay Institute in Cali and the MB Bible Institute in Bogotá. Previously, he was a youth pastor at Forest Grove Community Church in Saskatoon and was campus life director for Youth for Christ. He has an M.Div. in missions from MB Biblical Seminary in Fresno, Calif. The Godards will be on North American assignment with MBMSI this fall; he will begin teaching at Bethany in January 2002.

Jacqueline Falk has been appointed Associate Dean of Students (women)/Instructor. She is currently completing a masters degree in theological studies in Old Testament at Associated Canadian Theological Schools in Langley, B.C. Previously, she served a youth pastoral internship at Willow Park Church in Kelowna, B.C.
Moving on

Several faculty members are concluding their ministry at Bethany this year. Andrew Hershey-Bergen has resigned as Missions Director/Instructor after serving three years. He provided clear direction for the missions program and was considered an excellent teacher in missions and biblical studies.

Shirley Isaac is also leaving the school. She taught theology and general studies for the past five years. She contributed towards academic excellence and challenged students to think through the implications of their faith. She is currently completing a Ph.D.

Daphne Plett has resigned after serving two years as a residence dean, three years as associate dean of students (women) and a year as director of student ministries. She is planning to further her education this fall. Bethany Bible Institute release
