Picture
Robert Rempel of Kitchener, Ont., has been appointed half-time director of development for the Board of Resource Ministries of the General MB Conference, effective September 1.

This is a contractual position. As director of development, Rempel is responsible for vision building and need analysis for the Board; coordinating the development of Word Wise, the new MB adult Bible study/Sunday school curriculum; and overseeing the final units of Faith Family Focus, the MB Core values elective studies.

Rempel is assuming some of the responsibilities previously held by Michael Dick, former executive secretary for the Board. Dick resigned from that position effective August 31, and is currently senior pastor of Bakerview MB Church in Abbotsford, B.C. The remainder of Dick’s responsibilities have been assumed by Marilyn Hudson, director of Kindred Productions, with some responsibilities going to Eleonore Braun, customer service representative.

Previously, Rempel was associate pastor of Kitchener MB Church. He and his wife Bonnie have two daughters, Kora and Kym.
