Winnipeg, Man.
GodTalk on-line

GodTalk is now on the Internet. Supported by Family Life Network in Winnipeg, the live talk show engages people on issues impacting their culture and their spiritual quest.

Listeners can tune in on the Web during the program at www.cjob.com. Callers can join the dialogue from anywhere in North America at (800) 665-2202 or from anywhere in the world via e-mail at godtalk@wic.ca.

GodTalk is co-hosted by David Balzer, associate director of MB Communications/FLN and Chris Wells, a Baptist pastor. Former anchor host Greg Musselman stepped down recently due to family and ministry commitments.

CJOB, the AM radio station that airs GodTalk, could have pulled the plug at any time, explains Balzer. A year ago the idea of GodTalk going on the Internet was unfeasible. Now management at the station decided to let the show go global.

“I feel so privileged to be part of something much bigger than I am – it’s a God thing,” stated Balzer. “Creativity is the bottom line in the new technological reality we live in. All the delivery systems are already there. As a follower of Jesus, I’m challenged to bring the gospel of peace forward in such a way that commercial powerhouses like CJOB will want me at their table.”

Internet users all over the world can join the discussion with Balzer and Wells on Sundays 7-9 p.m. CST.

Balzer admits that he is excited about going on-line. “I’m wondering if it’s always true that when God goes into a partnership He always gets the better end of the deal? The huge capital and technical investment to put GodTalk on the Internet is being paid for by the people and the audience we’re trying to reach. That’s a deal.”
