Do you want to serve God?

Greg Hamm

If you are not actively serving the Lord with the gifts and abilities He has given you, I urge you to do the following:

  1. Determine what your gifts and abilities are with the guidance of your pastor and other mature Christians who know you well.

  2. Pray. Ask God how He intends to use your gifts and abilities.

  3. Be willing to obey Him – even if the answer isn’t what you want or expect.

  4. When you obey Him, be open to instruction, and be willing to start by taking small steps.

  5. Be willing to make mistakes, and don’t beat yourself up when you make them.

  6. Be completely dependent on the Holy Spirit.

  7. Remember that it’s not about you, it’s about God, so do your best and leave the rest up to Him.
Greg Hamm is a member of Fleetwood Community Church in Surrey, B.C.
