Craig Dicker completed his ministry Sept. 30 in Arnold Community Church, Abbotsford, B.C., after serving as associate pastor of youth for seven months. Previously, he worked for four years with Youth For Christ in Abbotsford, and has been involved for many years in various ministries of youth outreach, including One Way Adventures Foundation in Hedley, B.C. He has a B.A. from Briercrest Bible College, Caronport, Sask. He and his wife Leanne have a son, Benjamin, 7 months old. They are open to further ministry.

Robert Winslow was been called as associate pastor of youth and worship at Highland MB Church, Calgary, effective Oct. 1. Previously, he drove truck for 10 years, and interned for eight months in the Livingstones Church, a Fellowship of Christian Assemblies church in Red Deer, Alta. He has studied at North American Baptist College, Edmonton, and at Prairie Bible College, Three Hills, Alta., and is working on a Bachelor of Sacred Music and a B.R.E. His wife Carol is a graphic designer for Olds Gazette in Olds, Alta., where she has worked for nine years. They have a son, Jesse, 5.



Ed Wiebe resigned as senior pastor of Fraser Heights MB Church, Surrey, B.C., effective at the end of August, after serving since August 1997. On Oct. 15, he became interim associate pastor at Westwood MB Church, Prince George, B.C. Previously, he pastored Strathmore (Alta.) Alliance Church 1994-97, Dawson Creek (B.C.) Alliance Church 1985-94, Fairview MB Church in St. Catharines, Ont. 1981-85 and Kelowna (B.C.) MB Church 1974-80. He has a B.A. and an M.S.W. from Wilfrid Laurier University, an M.T.S. from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary and a D.Min. from Fuller Theological Seminary, and has also studied at MB Bible (Concord) College and MB Biblical Seminary. He and his wife Ruth have two grown children.



Marv Frey has been hired as director of the program services group for Canadian Foodgrains Bank, effective Jan. 2, 2000. He will coordinate program activities with member agencies for oversea shipments. CFGB is a Christian-based organization that facilitates the collection and distribution of grain and other agricultural commodities to the world’s hungry. It is comprised of 13 church agencies, including Mennonite Central Committee Canada, and is a not-for-profit agency. Since 1983, CFGB has provided over half a million tonnes of grain to people in Africa, Asia, South and Central America and Europe. Frey resigned as executive director of MCC Canada, effective at the end of 1999.



Clearbrook MB Church in Abbotsford, B.C. held an installation and commissioning service for senior pastor couple Peter J. and Betty Klassen on Oct. 3. Previously, they pastored Cornerstone Community Church, Virgil, Ont. Ike Bergen, B.C. MB Conference minister, led the service. The Klassens responded with a promise to be faithful in the ministry, depending completely on the grace of God. A communion service was held that evening, followed by coffee and fellowship. The church thanked John E. and Leona Klassen, who served as interim pastor couple for five months.

James Heinrichs has been appointed executive director of the Donwood Manor personal care facilities in Winnipeg, effective Oct. 12. Previously, he worked for 18 months in the management of an integrated care facility for long-term patients in Redvers, Sask., and was a health care administrator for eight-and-a-half years in Altona, Man. He has a certificate in management and administration from the University of Manitoba. He and his wife Yvonne have two children, Sheralyn, 12, and Kyle, 9. Donwood Manor operates a personal care home and three senior housing facilities that are owned by eight Mennonite Brethren churches in Winnipeg.
