Wendy Sharon Tang began Sept. 1 as a part-time associate pastor at Pacific Grace MB Church in Vancouver. Prior to this, she was a pastor in Peace Evangelical Church in Hong Kong for several years. She has an M.R.E. from Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary in Michigan. She is pursuing a D.Min. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Ill.
David Dick began Sept. 1 as pastor of Northgate MB Church in Dawson Creek, B.C. Previously, he worked two years for Community Futures Development Corporation and with security for Westfair Foods in Kelowna, B.C.; pastored First Mennonite Church in Kelowna 1993-96, Gateway Community Church, Canora, Sask. 1992-93 and Niagara Falls (Ont.) Christian Fellowship 1988-90; and was a church planter in Germany with MBMS International 1984-87. He has a diploma from Ontario Bible College, a B.R.E. from MB Bible (Concord) College, a B.A. from the University of Winnipeg and an M.A. from MB Biblical Seminary in Fresno, Calif. He and his wife Friedrun have three children, Philipp, 14, Christopher, 11, and Julia, 6.
Michael Brown began Sept. 16 as pastor of Cornerstone Community Church, Surrey, B.C. Previously, he pastored Grace Christian Fellowship in Langley, B.C. for eight years, Cloverdale (B.C.) Baptist Church for seven years and Snowdon Baptist Church in Montreal for eight years; was university administrator and secretary of the senate at University of Guelph; and has taught at Northwest Baptist Theological College in Langley, B.C. He is an adjunct professor at Associated Canadian Theological Schools (ACTS) in Langley. He served as an elder in the Cornerstone Church for six months. He has a B.Th. from Central (now Heritage) Baptist College, Cambridge, Ont.; a B.A. from Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo, Ont.; an M.A. from University of Guelph; an M.Div. from Central Baptist (now Heritage Theological) Seminary, Cambridge; and a D.Min. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Deerfield, Ill. He and his wife Lois McKenzie-Brown have seven grown children.
Darren Holland began Sept. 1 as full-time youth pastor in Philadelphia MB Church, Watrous, Sask. Last year, he served as a pastoral intern at the church as part of his studies at Millar College of the Bible in Pambrun, Sask. He recently graduated from the college with a B.A. in strategic ministries. He is originally from Crossfield, Alta., where he worked this summer for a hog farmer.

Greg Wiens began Aug. 1 as youth pastor in Elm Creek (Man.) MB Church. Previously, he was youth pastor in Morris (Man.) Mennonite Church for two-and-a-half years and served as youth leader in Clearbrook Mennonite Church in Abbotsford, B.C. for three years as part of his field education. He studied three years at Columbia Bible College and is now working towards his B.A. from Providence College, Otterburne, Man. He is married to Heather.
Michele Harder completed her part-time ministry in Forest Grove Community Church, Saskatoon, at the end of July, after serving for two years. Previously, she served the church in a lay ministry with the college and career for about four years, and worked at a credit union. She is now studying full-time at Briercrest Biblical Seminary in Caronport, Sask., working to complete two masters degrees, one in leadership and management, and the other in counselling. She has a B.A. from the Bible college there. She is open to further ministry.
Twenty-three young people from Canada and the US were part of an orientation for the Intermenno Trainee program Aug. 9-11 at Mennonite Central Committee headquarters in Akron, Pa. Participants spend a year in the Netherlands, Switzerland or Germany, working with Christians there and learning about the cultures. Most participants spend six months in each of two locations. Intermenno is an exchange program administered by two Intermenno Trainee Committees in Europe, one Dutch and the other German/Swiss. MCC assists in preparing the participants for the program. Benoit Denault of St-Jérôme, Que., is beginning a six-month term in Göcklingen, Germany, where he will work as a farm hand with the Nuss family. He will likely move to another placement in Germany for the second half of the year. Previously, he has served with Mennonite Disaster Service and Ten Thousand Villages in Akron, Pa., and has studied at Cégep de St-Jérôme. He attends the MB church in St-Jérôme.
Bill and Sandra Glasspell were installed as new pastor couple of Vauxhall (Alta.) MB Church July 4. Previously, he was interim pastor at Regal Heights Community Church, Moose Jaw, Sask., was pastor of the Evangelical Free Church in Terrace, B.C., pastored a church plant in Seven Persons, Alta. and served with Shantymen International. He has an M. Min. from Briercrest Biblical Seminary, Caronport, Sask. and a diploma from Prairie Bible School, Three Hills, Alta. The Glasspells have three grown children: Eric, Geoffrey and Jennifer.
