Teen devotional hits the heart of discipleship

Dave Ens, Winnipeg: Kindred Productions, 1999.
160 pp. $9.95.

Are you having a hard time finding devotional books for your teens or youth group? Here is an excellent book especially geared for teens. Walk on the Wild Side includes 50 devotionals that follow Jesus’ steps through the book of Mark. Each devotional features a journal page to express “thoughts to the Master,” a key verse and passage for the day, an explanation of the passage, and a practical application. The author is youth pastor at McIvor Ave. MB Church in Winnipeg.

Sometimes good devotional books for teens are difficult to find. Well, this one hits the heart of what it means to be a true follower of Christ. I’ll be recommending this book to my youth group.

Terry Friesen is Youth Minister at West Portal Church in Saskatoon, Sask.
