The feature material in this issue began with a letter of inquiry from a reader. I am grateful to Ron Toews and Dan Unrau (as well as a number of other Mennonite Brethren leaders whom I consulted) for helping us respond.

Readers will also want to take note that we are beginning our three-week publishing schedule one issue earlier than normal, and our next issue will be published June 21. That issue will deal with what a few of our Mennonite Brethren leaders are thinking about the MB Conference (and other things).
