Short stuff

Robert Coleman in an interview, Dec. 17, 1999 in Pulse:

“The problem today is that we do not have the overflow of the Spirit in our churches. We hear a lot about church growth. I believe in church growth. I teach a course in church growth. I wrote a doctoral dissertation on church growth. If you understand the principles, you can be relevant to where people are hurting. The basic idea is that when people have a sense of need and you meet that need, you get their attention. The problem is that most people’s needs are felt at the level of their own self-centredness.”
